Meet Romain, your guide, in a lovely wine-growing village (excluding Reims City Tour) located in the heart of the ‘Montagne de Reims’ (20 minutes away from the city of Reims).

DISCOVERY

The Discovery option offers to discover the world of Champagne by a ride in the vineyard. Stride along paths with explanations about the history, the appellation, the grapes varieties and the elaboration of Champagne. At the end of the tour taste a glass of champagne.

Place of departure: Mailly-Champagne.

Duration: around 2 hours.

Hours: free according to reservations.

Rate: on request (minimum of 2 people, group rate available). Price including rental of traditional bikes (with accessories, insurance, accompaniment by a state-certified guide, comments during the route) and a tasting.

VINTAGE

In the Vintage option, you will improve your knowledge about Champagne by a presentation of the work in the vineyard and the elaboration process in the cellars. Stride along paths with explanations about the history, the appellation, the grapes varieties and the elaboration of Champagne. At the end of the tour, visit of a champagne producer and tasting of two glasses of Champagne.

Rate: on request (minimum of 2 people, group rate available). Price including the rental of traditional bikes (with accessories, insurance, accompaniment by a state-certified guide, comments during the route) and the cellar visit with 2 tastings. €85 with transportation option.

REIMS CITY TOUR

Meet your guide, at the foot of Our Lady of Reims, Reims Cathedral. Go for a bike ride within the city of coronations. A qualified guide will also ride with you and will make you discover, at every stop, the major historical spots. All along an hour-and-a-half ride, he will tell you the history of Reims, from the Gallo-Roman time to nowadays, including the two World Wars.

Your ride will finish with a guided tour of the Cathedral (around 45 minutes).

Duration: around 2.5 hours.

Hours: free according to reservations.

Rate: on request (minimum of 4 people). Price including rental of traditional bikes (with accessories, insurance, accompaniment by a state-certified guide, comments during the route) and a guided tour in the Cathedral.

2.5 DAYS IN CHAMPAGNE

Two days and a half on a bike: the all-inclusive package! If you want to discover the Champagne region by bike and independently, this option is meant for you.

DAY 1 (HALF A DAY): REIMS CITY TOUR. After you have left your luggage in a hotel in Reims, go for a bike ride within the city of coronations. A qualified guide will also ride with you to make you discover, at every stop, the major historical spots. All along an hour-and-a-half ride, he will tell you the history of Reims, from the Gallo-Roman time to nowadays, including the two World Wars. You will finish your ride with a guided tour of the Reims Cathedral (around 45 minutes).

DAY 2: THE GREAT MONTAGNE DE REIMS. Departure from your hotel. Thanks to the GPS, you will be completely independent to wander in the towns and vines, and ride through renowned wine-growing villages such as Verzy, Verzenay, etc. Along the day and the more or less 40 km ride, several stops are planned and included in the package: tasting, meals, cellars guided tours. You will finish the ride in a lovely village where you will spend the night. Your luggage will have been moved there by us.

DAY 3: HAUTVILLERS AND EPERNAY. Departure by bike from your hotel. Still equipped with your GPS, you will ride through the Regional Nature Reserve of the Montagne de Reims and will discover its beautiful forest. You will arrive at Champillon where you will feel enchanted by the view of Epernay. You will need to pedal a few minutes more to get to Hautvillers, the birthplace of the Champagne wine. Set your bike aside and take a trip to this archetypical village of the Champagne region: your meal - served with Champagne wine – is planned there. You can also visit the famous church of Dom Pérignon, where the Champagne wine was born. Go back to your bike and calmly ride in the vines. You will ride down the Montagne de Reims to head to Epernay and discover the famed Avenue de Champagne. A cellars tour is planned in Hautvillers or Epernay (depending on the availability of our collaborators). Go back to your hotel in the heart of Epernay where you will find your luggage.
